Photographs
We may take photos of the conference throughout the day – speakers, audience, stalls – to publish in our ABM members’ magazine, website and social media. At the time of booking we’ll ask you to consent to your possible appearance in photographs. You’ll be able to opt-out if you don’t wish to be photographed.

Dietary requirements
Lunch and refreshments will be provided and are included in the cost of your ticket. If you have any special dietary requirements which you haven’t indicated on your registration, please let us know now.

Children
Babies in arms are welcome in the main hall but the venue is not suitable for older children. Some attendees in the past have organised a lunchtime meet up with family/carers for a breastfeed if needed.  A breakout room will be provided close to the main hall without provision for childcare, so participants are solely responsible for their children. We hope to be able to provide an audiovisual feed into the breakout room.  We ask that parents are sensitive to the fact this is a learning experience for delegates and we hope parents will minimise disruption to speakers and sessions wherever possible.  You are of course welcome to breastfeed anywhere in the venue where you feel comfortable.

Accommodation
Birmingham has a range of accommodation options; the two hotels closest to the venue are the Holiday inn Express Snow Hill and the Premier Inn Waterloo Street.

Getting there
The Priory Rooms is ten minutes’ walk from Birmingham New Street railway station and even closer to Snow Hill and Moor St stations.  It is about 15 minutes’ walk from Birmingham Coach Station.  For those driving, the closest car park is Londonderry House NCP on Dalton St.  Delegates get a reduced rate of £6.60 reduced from £18.00; collect your discount ticket before you leave the conference. Alternatively you can pre book your ticket at  https://www.ncp.co.uk/find-a-car-park/car-parks/birmingham-londonderry-house/  at a rate of £5.00 for 12 hours.

Luggage room
There will be a room assigned for luggage storage. Delegates are advised to keep valuables with them at all times.

Disabled access
All rooms and floors are lift accessible.
The main hall and reception have hearing loops.
Please contact us if you require Blue Badge parking at the venue (must be pre-booked), or would like to reserve either a wheelchair space or seating near the back or front in the main hall.

Cancellations (Added 11th March)
We understand you may be concerned about the impact of COVID-19 and the conference, so we have tried to outline the ABM’s approach to the changing situation.

What if the government advises that events should be suspended?
If the government advises that all events are to be cancelled prior to the conference date, we will offer all delegates a full refund, regardless of the date the event is cancelled. Please note the ABM will not be held liable for any other costs, or losses as a result of the conference being cancelled.

What if I want to cancel my ticket?
If you decide you would like to cancel your ticket, you are able to receive a full refund if you cancel before the 13th May 2020. If you cancel between the 14th May 2020 and the 10th June 2020, a £10 administration fee will be deducted from your refund. No refunds will be given after the 11th June 2020, unless the ABM has to cancel the event. Substitutions will be accepted up until the 10th June 2020 with no additional charge.

How will you be helping to prevent the spread of COVID-19?
The ABM will be following all best practice guidance being given by the government and the events industry in terms of providing plenty of hand gels, tissues and information to delegates both before arrival and onsite at the event.

Thank you for booking a conference place. The ABM committee looks forward to welcoming you to a great day of learning, support, networking opportunity and friendship!
