As the ABM continues to strengthen its operational structure, we’re making some changes to the way we receive applications for our Peer Support and Foundation Courses.
As an organisation run primarily by volunteers, one of our current objectives is to improve learner outcomes across our courses while also strengthening operational efficiency.
To support this, we’re looking at ways to reduce assessment and marking demands during school holiday periods, when volunteer capacity is at its lowest. These changes will help us make better use of our volunteers’ time while continuing to provide a positive learning experience for our students.
Why?
-To establish more predicatable completion windows
-To reduce volunteer workload during periods of low capacity
-To reduce backlog and improve course marking wait times
When?
Both courses are currently OPEN and will close for the first time in either November (FDN) or December (PS).
Exact closure dates will be posted regularly on our social media pages and our website!
If your application is received during the closure period, don’t worry, we will still be working towards getting you enrolled. You will be held on a waiting list and once applications open again your application will be processed as normal.
