Pam’s Prize is an annual award to remember our beloved leader, Pam Lacey, who died in November 2010. We want to celebrate the life of an inspirational breastfeeding advocate and recognise those who share her values and someone who goes that extra mile as she did.
The prize is awarded to a breastfeeding counsellor from the ABM or NCT, a breastfeeding supporter from the Breastfeeding Network (BfN) or a La Leche League Leader. Breastfeeding counsellor, BfN Breastfeeding supporter and La Leche League Leader are all equivalent qualifications.
Volunteer breastfeeding counsellors staff national breastfeeding helplines, run support groups across the country, visit new and vulnerable families at home or in hospitals and offer training and support to health professionals.
Nominations for Pam’s Prize 2017 are now closed.
We will be contacting nominees later in the Spring to let them know they have been nominated and their work is appreciated but we won’t mention you by name.
The winner will receive £100 prize and a VIP place at the ABM conference on Saturday, 17th of June 2017 (with travel and accommodation) where the prize will be awarded.
