So That's What They're For! Breastfeeding Basics
Author: Janet Tamaro
Publisher: Adams Media Corporation (1998)
Binding: Paperback, 304 pages
Another American publication, but again, a wonderful read. Ms. Tamaro writes with great wit, but great sincerity, in a way that cannot fail to appeal. She treats her subject seriously, but manages to inject an infectious sense of humour into every chapter, even the introduction, where she tells us that we're about to meet the one person in our lives who'll love our breasts no matter what they're like: our new baby! It provides good, sound, solid breastfeeding information when it's needed, and a damned good laugh when that is equally good medicine! Particularly useful for exploding many of the ridiculous myths that surround breastfeeding - the sort that can make many mums dash for a bottle of formula! Highly recommended.
