Breastfeeding Babies with Clefts of Lip and/or Palate
Mothers of babis with cleft lip and/or palate may wonder whether they will be able to breastfeed their baby. The most important thing to know is that, even if their baby cannot breastfeed at first, they can still feed them their own breastmilk.
This booklet offers helpful information and accounts of mothers' experiences in coping with babies born with cleft lip and/or palate. It talks about expressing, feeding equipment and how to feed the baby before and after the cleft repair.
