Did a breastfeeding counsellor make a difference to you and your baby’s life?
Pam’s Prize is an annual award to remember our beloved leader, Pam Lacey, who died in November 2010. We want to celebrate the life of an inspirational breastfeeding advocate and recognise those who share her values and someone who goes that extra mile as she did.
The prize is awarded to a breastfeeding counsellor from any organisation working in a voluntary capacity who has touched lives. Nominees can be a breastfeeding counsellor from the ABM or NCT, a breastfeeding supporter from the Breastfeeding Network or a La Leche League Leader. Breastfeeding counsellor, BfN Breastfeeding supporter and La Leche League Leader are all equivalent qualifications.
Volunteer breastfeeding counsellors staff national breastfeeding helplines, run support groups accross the country, visit new and vulnerable families at home or in hospitals and offer training and support to health professionals.
A winner has now been chosen and her prize will be awarded on our annual conference on Saturday 8th of June 2013.
The winner will receive a framed certificate, book voucher and free ABM conference attendance (with travel and accommodation) where the prize will be awarded.
